From Chris Welller: It is sad to relate that Headington BC have lost another long standing member, Colin Harris.
Again, another person who I regularly played against when I began playing bowls, and as Headington BC Secretary John Henwood says below, a fine servant and player for Headington over many years.
John Henwood writes: It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Colin Harris passed away yesterday morning (21st August). Colin was an all-round sportsman, he played football, cricket, and then took up football refereeing , before taking up Bowls around 1985
He became Headington Bowls Club Secretary in 1989 and held the position for 28 years, to say he was a good club man is an understatement! also not a bad bowler with it.
