One of our Life Members, John Padbury, passed away recently. He was 93 and was a stalwart of the club for many years, taking care of the greens and doing many of the maintenance jobs required around the greens. He was an excellent bowler as well.
The funeral will be held on 7th January at 2pm at the Oxford Crem. and afterwards at South Oxford Bowls Club.
Chris Weller adds: I would echo Letty's comments, always a pleasure to play against, a very good bowler, and played the game in the right spirit.
