Richard ‘Dickie” Bull funeral

Richard’s funeral will take place at Swindon Crematorium, Kingsdown Road, Swindon, SN25 6SG on Wednesday, 2nd May at 1.30 pm.
Afterwards, mourners are invited to Carterton bowls club from 3.30 pm.

David Wotherspoon’s funeral

David’s funeral will take place at Duns Tew church on Monday April 23rd at 11.00 a.m. and afterwards at Duns Tew Village hall.
We have been asked to inform mourners that both the Duns Tew church and the Village Hall are on the small side and parking is somewhat limited.

Richard ‘Dickie’ Bull

Yet another sad message regarding an Oxfordshire bowler.
We are sorry to announce the passing of Carterton bowler Richard ‘Dickie” Bull on Monday April 9th.

Along with fellow bowlers T. Jupp and J. Pursglove he reached the final of the 1986 County Triples.

His bellowing call of “Come to Dickie” will be missed across the greens of Oxfordshire, and further afield by his colleagues in the English Civil Service bowling fraternity.

Funeral details will follow in due course.

Men’s Junior International Trials

Congratulations to Sam Watts on his invitation to attend the Bowls England, Men’s Junior International Trials on Monday May 28th to be held at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa.
Games start at 10.30 am.

It’s Spring Holiday Monday, have a ride up there and support him.

Paul Heafey & Allan Hall funeral’s

Paul Heafey’s funeral will be held at the Oxford Crematorium on Tuesday April 3rd at 10.00 am, followed by a celebration of his life, at Thame Bowls Club.

Allan Hall’s funeral will take place at Oxford Crematorium on Friday April 6th at 11.00 am, followed by refreshments at Bicester Bowls Club.
