Katherine and Carole – runners up in the International Series

Katherine Hawes (Oxford City & County) and Carole Galletly (Banbury Central) were part of the Bowls England team who finished second behind Scotland in the Women’s British Isles International Series, Llandrindod Wells.

England lost to Scotland in the opening game but went on to win against Wales, Jersey and Ireland. Despite a final day defeat against Ireland, Scotland took the title thanks to a superior shots difference (plus 121) compared to England (plus 92) after both teams finished with three wins from their four games.
